What are CEREC non-metal, ceramic tooth restorations?
CEREC, a dental technology developed by Sirona Dental Systems, is the world's only non-metal, porcelain system for the fabrication of ceramic dental restorations (permanent ceramic crowns, onlays, or veneers) in one office visit. For the patient, this means fewer injections, less drilling, and less time out of their hectic schedule for dental care.
Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist. On the first visit, your tooth is prepared, an impression is taken, and a temporary restoration is placed on your tooth. On the second appointment, a few weeks later, the temporary is pried off and a permanent restoration is installed.
Our Surrey CEREC ceramic tooth restorations aren’t just convenient. They are also healthy. With CEREC, strong, tooth-coloured procelain materials that closely match the composition of natural tooth structure are used to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty and function.
